PHANTASTISCHE TIERWELTEN: GRINDELWALDS VERBRECHEN – Abenteuer – GB, USA – 2018

Der Erfolg der Abenteuer- und Märchenbücher des jungen Helden Harry Potter ist wohl in der Literatur nur noch mit den Märchenbänden (1812) der Brüder Jacob und Wilhelm Grimm („Rotkäppchen“, „Der Froschkönig“, „Rapunzel“, Rumpelstizchen“, „Frau Holle“, „Der Sterntaler“, Aschenputtel“, „Hänsel und Gretchen“, Dornröschen“, Schneewittchen“) zu vergleichen. Und es ist gut vorstellbar, dass Harry Potter Autorin Joanne K. Rowling die Märchen der Gebrüder Grimm sehr gut kannte.
Die sieben Bände der „Harry Potter“ Reihe wurden zwischen 1998 und 2007 veröffentlicht. Doch mittendrin brachte J.K Rowling 2001 ein kleines 64-seitiges Büchlein heraus, „Phantastische Tierwesen und wo sie zu finden sind“ heraus. Es bezieht sich auf ein Lehrbuch aus ihrer „Harry Potter“ Reihe, welches Erstklässler in Hogwarts für den Unterricht lesen müssen. Daraus entstand 2016 ein erster Film, weitere sollen folgen. Und jetzt kommt der zweite Teil ins Kino: „Grindelwalds Verbrechen“.
Wenn ein Film nach einer Geschichte von J. K. Rowling ins Kino kommt (hier hat sie auch das Drehbuch geschrieben), dann kann das nur ein Blockbuster werden. Und damit wird auch in der Schauspielerriege ganz nach oben gegriffen. Kein geringerer als Johnny Depp himself spielt den bösen Grindelwald (in blond-weiß, kaum wiederzuerkennen), der aus dem Gefängnis ausbricht und nach Paris flieht. Ähnlich wie Lord Voldemort will er die Weltherrschaft an sich reißen und der mutige, aber auch etwas schüchterne Zauberer Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) will das verhindern. Auch Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) ist dabei, der aber wegen eines alten Schwures nicht selbst eingreifen darf. Doch er hilft Scamander. Zusätzlich gibt es noch Hilfe durch die Schwestern Tina und Queenie und dem Muggel Jacob. Daneben kommen wieder zahllose reale und erfundene Tierwesen vor, die den gesamten Film bereichern und ihm auch schließlich den Namen gegeben haben.
Fazit: Ein wunderbarer Film für die ganze Familie, auch wenn es manchmal recht gruselig zugeht und die Altersfreigabe erst ab 12 Jahren beginnt. Wer also mal zwischen den Weihnachtsfeierlichkeiten entspannt ins Kino gehen möchte – das ist der richtige Film dafür!
Ausserdem laufen an:
„Loro – Die Verführten“ von Paolo Sorrentino. Wer schon immer wissen wollte, was hinter den Kulissen des ehemaligen italienischen Ministerpräsidenten Silvio Berlusconi so passierte (Bunga-Bunga-Partys), der sollte sich diesen Film unbedingt anschauen. Es ist sau-komisch – wenn es nicht eigentlich zum Heulen wäre.

The success of the adventure and fairytale books of the young hero Harry Potter is probably in the literature only comparable with the „Fairy Tales“ (1812) of the brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm (“ Little Red Riding Hood „,“ The Frog Prince „,“ Rapunzel „, Rumpelstizchen,“ Mrs. Holle „,“ The Star Taler „, Cinderella“, „Hansel and Gretchen“, Sleeping Beauty „, Snow White“) and it is well conceivable that Harry Potter author Joanne K. Rowling knew the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm very well.
The seven volumes of the „Harry Potter“ series were released between 1998 and 2007. But in the middle of it, J.K Rowling published a little 64-page booklet in 2001, „Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.“ It refers to a textbook from her „Harry Potter“ series that first graders at Hogwarts have to read for class. This resulted in a first film in 2016, with more to follow. And now the second part comes to the cinema: „The Crimes of Grindelwald“.
When a book comes to a movie after a story by J.K. Rowling (she also wrote the script here), so that can only be a blockbuster. And so the actors are from the top ranking. No one less than Johnny Depp himself plays the evil Grindelwald, who breaks out of prison and flees to Paris. Similar to Lord Voldemort he wants to seize world domination and the brave, but a little bit wizard Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) wants to prevent that. So there is also Albus Dumbledore played by Jude Law, who can not intervene because of an old oath. But he helps Scamander. In addition, there is help from the sisters Tina and Queenie and the muggle Jacob. And there are countless real and imaginary animals that enrich the whole movie and finally gave it its name.
Conclusion: A wonderful movie for the whole family, even if it is sometimes very scary and the age rating begins only from 12 years. So if you want to go to the cinema relaxed between the Christmas parties – that’s the right movie for it.

„Loro – The Seduced“ by Paolo Sorrentino. If you always wanted to know what happened behind the scenes of former Italian Prime Minister Solvio Berlusconi (Bunga Bunga parties), you should definitely watch this movie. It’s really funny – if it were not to howl.
