Der Monat November wird überstrahlt von den großen Feierlichkeiten zu 30 JAHRE MAUERFALL.

Vom 4. – 10. November 2019 werden die Berliner zur Festivalwoche 30 Jahre Mauerfall an 7 Tagen und an 7 verschiedenen Orten zu verschiedenen Veranstaltungen und Performances eingeladen.

Die 7 Orte sind:

Alexanderplatz: Videoinstallationen
Brandenburger Tor: Kunstinstallation „Visions in Motion“ des US-amerikanischen Künstlers Patrick Shearn mit 100.000 kleinen Bändern als schwebende Wolke über der Strasse des 17. Juni.
Gethsemanekirche, Stargarder Str. 77, 10437 Berlin (war zur DDR-Zeit ein Sammelpunkt von Regimegegnern, spielte eine wichtige Rolle zur Wendezeit in den Jahren 1989/90). Videoinstallationen
Stasi-Zentrale, Ruschestraße 103/Haus 1, 10365 Berlin (war bis 1990 der Sitz der Staastssicherheit der DDR, deren Aufgabe es war, die eigenen Bürger auszuspionieren. Nachbarn beobachteten Nachbarn, Kollegen beobachteten Kollegen, selbst Eheleute misstrauten sich. Sehr gut ist dieser Überwachungsstaat in dem Film „Das Leben der Anderen“ von Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck zu sehen, mit Ulrich Mühe in der Hauptrolle eines Stasi-Hauptmannes). Schlossplatz (neben dem Berliner Schloss, dem zukünftigen Humboldtforum in der Nähe des Alexanderplatzes)
East Side Gallery, Müllerstrasse in Berlin-Friedrichshain bei der Mercedes-Benz Arena (hier befindet sich das längste noch erhaltene Mauerstück mit den berühmten Graffitti-Malereien, die mittlerweile ganz offiziell dort gezeigt werden und auch nicht mehr übermalt werden dürfen). Kurfürstendamm (der Ort, wo die Ostberliner Bürger in der Nacht vom 9. auf den 10. November 1989 zuerst hinfuhren – als Sinnbild des Westens!). Videoinstallationen.

Los gehts am Dienstag, den 4. November 2019, um 17.30 Uhr am Alexanderplatz mit einer Rede des Regierenden Bügermeisters von Berlin, Michael Müller. Danach wird die 3D-Videoprojektion gestartet, die in einem 15-minütigen Film die Großdemonstration wiedergibt, die hier am 4. November 1989, fünf Tage vorm dem Fall der Mauer, mit über 500.000 Demonstranten stattgefunden hat (siehe dazu mein Video).

Zeitgleich wird auf der Straße des 17. Juni die Kunstinstallation „Visions in Motion“ von dem Künstler Patrick Shearn eröffnet. Sie zeigt auf einer Länge von 150 Meter eine Wolke aus 100.000 kleinen, bunten Bändern, auf denen 30.000 Wünsche, Hoffnungen und Ideen von 30.000 Menschen geschrieben sind.

Höhepunkt ist die große Bühnenshow am 9. November 2019 am Brandenburger Tor mit einem großen Bügerfest auf der Straße des 17. Juni.
Um 18.00 Uhr wird der Abend mit einer Rede des Bundespräsidenten Frank Walter Steinmeier eröffnet. Danach beginnt eine 4-stündige Bühnenshow mit klassischer Musik (Daniel Barenboim mit der Staatsakappelle Berlin) über Schauspiel und Lichterperformances bis zu Pop-Musik mit DJ WestBam.
Das Programm:
Eine 4-stündige Bühnenshow ab ca. 18.15 Uhr mit folgenden Sängern/ Musikern/ Schauspielern:
Dirk Michaelis, Trettmann, Die Zöllner, Staatskapelle Berlin unter Leitung von Daniel Barenboim (spielt die 5. Sinfonie von Beethoven), Zugezogen Maskulin, Anna Loos, Realtime-Technology-Tanz-Performance, Schauspiel „Stimmen der Freiheit“, Laserharfen-Performance.
Ab 20:15—22:00 Uhr: After-Show mit der DJ Westbam und weitere DJ’s

Mit der App „mauAR“ lassen sich via Augmented Reality-Technik viele Geschehnisse der Zeit vor 30 Jahren selbst erleben. Hierzu gibt es auch eine Zusammnenarbeit mit Facebook.

!Achtung! – am 1. Dezember 2019 kommt die Premiere von „La Traviata“ in der Regie von Nicola Raab mit Vera-Lotte Böcker in der Titelrolle als Violetta.
Vera-Lotte Böcker war zuletzt als Musetta in „La Boheme“ an der Komischen Oper Anfang diesen Jahres zu sehen und zu hören.

100 JAHRE BAUHAUS

Das ganze Jahr wird an verschiedenen Orten der vielleicht berühmtesten Stilrichtung der Moderne gedacht: dem BAUHAUS.
Es wurde 1919 in Weimar gegründet und kurze Zeit später in Dessau fortgesetzt, bis es in Berlin 1933 sein abruptes Ende fand.
Doch sein Design – und Architekturstil verbreitete sich nach dem 2. Weltkrieg über die ganze Welt.
Das Museum Berlinische Galerie zeigt noch bis zum 27. Januar 2020 die Ausstellung „ORIGINAL BAUHAUS“ mit 1000 Exponaten zum Thema.

This month is overshadowed by the great celebrations of 30 YEARS OF THE FALL OF THE BERLIN WALL.
From the 4th to the 10th of November 2019 the Berliners will be invited to the festival week on 7 days and in 7 different locations to the most different events and performances.
The 7 Places are: Alexanderplatz: Video Installations, Brandenburg Gate: Art installation „Visions in Motion“ by the American artist Patrick Shearn with 100,000 small ribbons as a floating cloud over the Strasse des 17. Juni. Gethsemanekirche, Stargarder Str. 77, 10437 Berlin (was a rallying point of regime opponents in the GDR era, played an important role at the turn of the century 1989/90). video installations
Stasi headquarters, Ruschestraße 103 / Haus 1, 10365 Berlin (was the seat of the GDR’s state security until 1990. Its task was to spy on its own citizens.) Let’s start on Tuesday, November 4, 2019 at 17.30 at Alexanderplatz with a speech by the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Michael Müller. Afterwards, the 3D video projection will be launched, which will feature a large-scale demonstration in a 15-minute film that took place on November 4, 1989, five days before the fall of the Berlin Wall, with over 500,000 demonstrators.
At the same time, the art installation „Visions in Motion“ by the artist Patrick Shearn opens on the street of the 17th of June. On a length of 150 meters it shows a cloud of 100,000 small, colorful ribbons on which 30,000 wishes, hopes and ideas of 30,000 people are written.
The highlight of the week is offcourse the great stage show on November 9, 2019 at the Brandenburg Gate with a large festival on the street of June 17. At 6 pm, the evening will be opened with a speech by Federal President Frank Walter Steinmeier. Then begins a 4-hour stage show with classical music (Daniel Barenboim with the Staatsakappelle Berlin playing the 5. Symphony by Beethoven) on drama and lights performances to pop music with DJ WestBam.
With the app „mauAR„, many events of the time 30 years ago can be experienced via augmented reality technology. There is also a collaboration with Facebook.
The Hastag #mauerfall applies to all events this week on Facebook and Instagram.

100 YEARS OF BAUHAUS
Throughout the year, the most famous style of modernity is thought of in different places: the BAUHAUS. It was founded in 1919 in Weimar and continued a short time later in Dessau until it came to an abrupt end in Berlin in 1933.
