hier meine Kultur-Tipps für 2026:
Film:
Die 76. Internationalen Filmfestspiele von Berlin – BERLINALE finden dieses Jahr vom 12. – 22. Februar 2026 statt. Wieder mit vielen Stars und tollen Filmen.

Die GOLDEN GLOBES wurden ja bereits letztes Wochenende in Beverly Hills vergeben. Hier mein Bericht.
Am 16. März kommt dann die große OSCAR-Verleihung im Dolby Center von Los Angeles. Die Bekanntgabe der Nominierungen erfolgt am 22. Januar 2026.
Die Favoriten sind „One Battle After Another“ mit Leonardo DiCaprio, „Hamnet“, „Marty Supreme” mit Tomothée Chalamet, “Bugonia” mit Emma Stone, “Frankenstein” von Guillermo del Toro und “Sentimental Value” mit Stellan Skarsgard.

Neue Filme 2026:
Im Sommer kommt ein neuer STEVEN SPIELBERG Film in die Kinos, „Disclosure Day“.
So viel zu hören war soll es sich dabei um einen Science Fiction Film mit Außerirdischen handeln.
Vielleicht ähnlich, wie sein Film von 1977 „Unheimliche Begegnung der dritten Art“ (Close Encounters of a Third Kind).
Als Hauptdarsteller wurden EMILY BLUNT und COLON FIRTH genannt.
Voraussichtlicher Filmstart am 12. Juni 2026.

Weiterhin wird mit großer Spannung das Sequel von „Der Teufel trägt Prada“ erwartet, 20 Jahre nach dem ersten Teil.
Wieder mit MERIL STREEP als Miranda Priesly, ANNE HATHAWAY als Andrea, EMILY BLUNT als Emily und STANLEY TUCCI als Nigel.
Neu sind Kenneth Branagh als Mirandas Ehemann.
Die Kamera führte übrigens FLORIAN BALLHAUS, der Sohn des legendären Kameramannes MICHAEL BALLHAUS (1935 – 2027), der die Kamera beim ersten Teil „Der Teufel trägt Prada“ vor 20 Jahren führte.
Der Vater drehte mit den wichtigsten Filmregisseuren seiner Zeit, so z.B. mit MARTIN SCORCESE, ROBERT REDFORD, MIKE NICHOLS, WOLFGANG PETERSEN, BARRY LEVINSON; PETER YATES und vielen mehr.
Voraussichtlicher Kinostart ist am 1. Mai 2026.
“The Devil Wears Prada”
Und dann kommt noch der Blockbuster „Die Odyssee“ nach Homer vom Star-Regisseur CHRISTOPHER NOLAN („Oppenheimer“) mit MATT DAMON als Odysseus, ANNE HATHAWAY als Penelope, ZENDAYA als Athene, CHARLIZE THERON als Circe und ROBERT PATTINSON als Antinoos.
Kinostart ist voraussichtlich der 16. Juli 2026.

Das wird in Hollywood sicher ein Mega-Ereignis.

here are my culture tips for 2026:
Film:
The 76th Berlin International Film Festival – BERLINALE – will take place this year from February 12–22, 2026. Once again, it will feature many stars and fantastic films.

The Golden Globes were already awarded last weekend in Beverly Hills. Here is my report.
The big Oscar ceremony will then take place on March 16 at the Dolby Center in Los Angeles. The nominations will be announced on January 22, 2026.

New Movies in 2026:
A new Steven Spielberg film, “Disclosure Day,” is coming to theaters this summer.
From what we’ve heard, it’s a science fiction film featuring aliens, perhaps similar to his 1977 film “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.”
Emily Blunt and Colon Firth have been announced as the lead actors.
The film is expected to be released on June 12, 2026.

The sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada” is also highly anticipated, 20 years after the first film.
Meril Streep returns as Miranda Priesly, Anne Hathaway as Andrea, Emily Blunt as Emily, and Stanley Tucci as Nigel.
New to the cast is Kenneth Branagh as Miranda’s husband.
The cinematographer was Florian Ballhaus, son of the legendary cinematographer Michael Ballhaus (1935–2027), who was also the cinematographer for the first installment, “The Devil Wears Prada,” 20 years ago.
His father worked with the most important film directors of his time, including Martin Scorsese, Robert Redford, Mike Nichols, Wolfgang Petersen, Barry Levinson, Peter Yates, and many more.
The film is scheduled for release on May 1, 2026.

And then there’s the blockbuster “The Odyssey,” based on Homer’s epic, directed by Christopher Nolan (“Oppenheimer”), starring Matt Damon as Odysseus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Zendaya as Athena, Charlize Theron as Circe, and Robert Pattinson as Antinous.
The film is expected to be released in theaters on July 16, 2026.

Alleged cost: $1 billion.
This will certainly be a mega-event in Hollywood.
– The Bayreuth Wagner Festival celebrates its 150th anniversary.
