Der Herbst kommt und dies merkt der Kino-Fan nicht nur an den kühleren Temperaturen draußen vor der Tür, sondern auch an den sich nun wieder häufenden Kinopremieren, denn im Sommer möchte man ja lieber im Freien sitzen, als im dunklen Kinosaal.
„MEINE COUSINE RACHEL“ (My Cousin Rachel) – Drama, Krimi – GB, USA – 2017

Fast jeder Film mit der wunderbaren Rachel Weisz sollte man sich ansehen. Diese Oscar-prämierte britische Schauspielerin (Ehefrau von Bond-Darsteller Daniel Craig) ist immer eine wahre Freude auf der Leinwand zu sehen. So auch hier. In diesem Film nach dem gleichnamigen Kriminalroman von Daphne du Maurier („Die Vögel“, „Rebecca“, beide verfilmt von Alfred Hitchcock) spielt Rachel Weisz die mysteriöse Rachel, die im Verdacht steht ihren Ehemann vergiftet zu haben, um an sein Erbe zu kommen. Auch den Cousin des Ehemanns, Philip, scheint sie auf ihrer Liste zu haben und keiner kann ihr wiederstehen. Dabei bleibt bis zum Schluss offen, ob sie nun wirklich eine ausgebuffte Mörderin oder nur alles ein Mißverständnis ist. Sehenswert wie zu Hitchis Zeiten. Für die ganze Familie ab 12 Jahren.

„ON THE MILKY ROAD“ vom 2 maligen Goldene Palme Gewinner Emir Kustorica spielt zurzeit der Balkan-Kriege Mitte der 90er Jahre. Ein etwas verträumter Mann schafft es immer wieder zwischen den feindlichen Linien hindurch seine Milch an seine Kunden zu liefern. Die Hauptgeschichte aber ist seine Liebe zur Dorfschönheit Milena und seiner Faszination zu einer unbekannten Italienerin (Monica Bellucci), die eigentlich den Bruder seiner Dorfschönheit heiraten soll, zurzeit aber leider an der Kriegsfront weilt. Ein kleines Märchen inmitten des Krieges – Emir Kustorica bleibt seiner Heimat treu. Für Cineasten und Monica Bellucci Fans.

„THE CIRCLE“ mit Harry Potter Star Emma Watson. Sie spielt Mae Holland, die einen der begehrten Jobs bei der größten Internetfirma der Welt ergattert und ganz in ihrer Tätigkeit für die Firma aufgeht. Ihr charismatischer Chef wird gespielt von Tom Hanks. Eines Tages wird sie als Versuchsperson ausgesucht, eine Bodycam 24 Stunden zu tragen, um den vollkommen gläsernen Menschen der Zukunft zu erproben. Was uns heute noch als komplette Horror Vision erscheinen mag, könnte in der Zukunft der absolute Renner werden. Und davon ist auch Mae Holland überzeugt, als sie, trotz der Warnung aller ihrer alten Freunde, bei dem Experiment mitmacht. Ob sie noch der totalen Überwachung entrinnen kann? Ein Film für die ganze Familie.

„IMMER NOCH EINE UNBEQUEME WAHRHEIT“ vom ehemaligen US Vize-Präsidenten Al Gore, der im Jahr 2000 bei der Präsidentschaft nur knapp gegen George Bush verlor (einschließlich einiger Mauscheleien beim Auszählen der Stimmen in Florida – dessen Gouverneur Jepp Bush war…). Seit Jahren ist Al Gore einer er engagiertesten Umweltschützer und sein Film „Eine unbequeme Wahrheit“ gewann 2007 den Oscar für den besten Dokumentarfilm. Im selben Jahr erhielt er für sein Umwelt-Engagement den Friedensnobelpreis. Ein Jahrzehnt später kommt er mit der Fortsetzung, indem er zeigt, wie alles noch viel schlimmer geworden ist. Ein toller Film und ein wichtiges Thema – vor allem, seit Donald Trump aus dem Klimaabkommen von Paris ausgestiegen ist. Dabei stellt sich die unweigerliche Frage, wie wohl die Welt heute aussehen würde, wenn nicht George Bush sondern Al Gore die Präsidentschaft 2000 gewonnen hätte…Ein Film für die ganze Familie.
