Hamburg hat auch im Dezember viel zu bieten. Von den Weihnachtsmärchen für Kinder über festliche Musik in den Kirchen bis zum sexy-frivolen Weihnachtsmarkt auf St. Pauli

Weihnachtsmärchen

„Hänsel und Gretel“, von E. Humperdinck, Staatsoper Hamburg, 17. Dez. um 15 und 19 Uhr, 18. Dez um 11 Uhr und am 22. Dez um 19 Uhr.

„Die Kleine Hexe“, nach O. Preußler, St. Pauli-Theater, Di bis So um 16.30 Uhr, Mi und Do auch um 10 Uhr

Musik

Die Weihnachts-Konzerte in der Elbphilharmonie sind ausverkauft. Vor allem für das Weihnachtsoratorium mit dem Bach-Chor Hamburg am 22. Dezember war der Andrang auf die Karten enorm. Aber der beliebte Chor ist auch an anderer Spielstätte zu hören.

Besonders schön sind in der Adventszeit die Kirchenkonzerte mit Trompete und Orgel.

Weihnachtsmärkte 

Besonders stimmungsvoll und traditionell ist es auf dem Rathausmarkt mit mehr als 80 Kunsthandwerkern und Händlern. Mehrmals täglich düst die beliebte Weihnachtsmann-Figur samt Schlitten durch die Lüfte über das Markttreiben hinweg.

Chic und poppig geht’s am Jungfernstieg zu. Während man die Phalanx von  weißen  Glamour-Buden abschreitet, werden US-amerikanische xmas-Songs zum Besten gegeben und der Blick geht weit hinaus auf die Alster mit den erleuchteten Fassaden.

Wer sich die Mühe macht, am zweiten Adventswochenende nach Lüneburg zum Christkindlmarkt an der St. Michaeliskirche zu fahren, wird mit einmalig weihnachtlicher Stimmung belohnt, live Trompetenklänge und Kinderchor inbegriffen.

Frech und frivol geht es auf Santa Pauli auf der Reeperbahn zu. Auf dem Kult-Weihnachtsmarkt vom Kiez herrscht immer gute Stimmung bei Glühcola und Strip im Showzelt.

The Christmas concerts in the Elbphilharmonie are sold out. Especially for the Christmas Oratorio with the Bach Choir Hamburg on December 22, the rush to the tickets was enormous. But the popular choir can also be heard at other venues.

Christmas Markets

It is particularly atmospheric and traditional at the Rathausmarkt with more than 80 artisans and traders. Several times a day, the popular Santa Claus figurine and sleigh ride through the skies over the bustle of the market.
Chic and poppy’s on Jungfernstieg. While the phalanx of white glamor stalls, US-American xmas songs are given to the best and the view goes far out to the Alster with the enlightened facades.
If you take the trouble to drive to Lüneburg on the second weekend of Advent to the Christmas market at St. Michael’s Church, is rewarded with a unique Christmas mood, live trumpet sounds and children’s choir included.
Naughty and frivolous, it’s all about Santa Pauli on the Reeperbahn. On the cult Christmas market from the neighborhood, there is always a good mood at Glühcola and Strip in the show tent.
