Die Berlin Fashion Week mit neuem Schwung an einem neuen Ort.
Die schon häufig totgeglaubte BERLIN FASHION WEEK schafft es trotz aller Unkenrufe sich immer wieder neu zu erfinden.
Nach einem grandiosen Start vor 13 Jahren mit einem riesigen Zelt am Brandenburger Tor ging es in den letzten Jahren als stark verkleinertes Format zunächst in das E-Werk an der Wilhelmstrasse und nun als neue Location in das Kraftwerk Mitte an der Köpenicker Str. 70.
Das KRAFTWERK MITTE ist sicher ein beeindruckender Ort, allein von seiner schieren Größe und seiner Ausstellungsfläche von 8000 qm in einer 100 Meter langen ehemaligen Turbinenhalle. Wie die Mercedes-Benz-Fashion-Week (so der offizielle Name) diese enorme Fläche bespielen wird ist abzuwarten.

Vom 13.1. -15.1.2020 wird die Berlin Fashion Week, von ursprünglich fünf auf nur noch drei Tage geschrumpft, hier stattfinden.
Neu ist jetzt, dass die Öffentlichkeit freien Eintritt zu einem Teil der Veranstaltung bekommt, nämlich zur unteren Ebene des Kraftwerks. Hier werden die beteiligten Designer in Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen ihre Modelle zeigen. Für Essen und Trinken wird sicher auch gesorgt.

Nur zu den eigentlichen Modenschauen, die im oberen Stockwerk des Kraftwerks abgehalten werden, ist ausschließlich Fachpublikum eingeladen. Doch die Schauen werden live auf großen Screens, sowie im Internet auf Facebook, Youtube und Instagram gezeigt.

Wie Ihr vielleicht wisst, hat nicht nur der BERLINER SALON, sondern jetzt auch der VOGUE SALON seine Aktivitäten beendet.
Um junge Designer nicht völlig im Regen stehen zu lassen, gibt es zumindest für Modestudenten eine BEST GRADUATES SHOW im Hotel Vienna House Berlin, Landsberger Allee 106, 10369 Berlin.
Dort finden am Montag Nachmittag 3 Runway Shows statt, um 17.00, 19.00 und 21.00 Uhr, mit Abschlussarbeiten von Studenten aus 6 verschiedenen Modeschulen Deutschlands, u.a. von der HTW Berlin und dem Lette Verein Berlin.
Neben den Modenschauen sind natürlich besonders die SIDE-EVENTS und PARTYS interessant.
Wie immer am Vorabend (12.01.2020) der Fashion Week findet die DANDY DIARY Party statt, dieses Mal im Metropol am Nollendorfplatz ab 22.00 Uhr. Und das, obwohl Carl Jakob Haupt, Mitbegründer des legendären Modeblogs „Dandy Diary“, im letzten Jahr verstorben ist. Sein Kompagnon David Roth versucht seitdem die gemeinsame Arbeit weiterzuführen, wozu auch das 2016 eröffnete vegane Restaurant „Dandy Diner“ (Karl-Marx-Straße 9, 12043 Berlin) gehört.

Und wer gerne abtanzen will, der sollte am Dienstag zur Berlin Fashion Week Party „tigha & preach“ in den Salon zur Wilden Renate (Alt-Stralau 70, 10245 Berlin) ab 21.30 Uhr gehen.
Interessant wird sicher auch das Treffen vom FASHION COUNCIL GERMANY am Montag Nachmittag im Hotel Zoo am KuDamm zum Thema „State of Fashion“ sein.

WOLFGANG JOOP zeigt seine Van Laack Hemdenkollektion im KaDeWe an der Tauentzienstraße 21 am Dienstag Abend ab 21.30 Uhr.

Und ein bisschen Yellow-Press darf auch nicht fehlen bei der BUNTE – Party „New Faces“ am Montag Abend ab 21.00 Uhr im Hotel Oderberger in der Oderberger Str. 57 in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.
Zu erwähnen wäre noch, dass die drei großen Modemessen PREMIUM (In der Station Berlin, Luckenwalder Str.), die SEEK in der Arena in Berlin-Treptow und die PANORAMA im Flughafen Tempelhof, Hangar 5 + 6, vom 14. – 16.1.2020 stattfinden werden. Zu der Panorama Messe gesellt sich in Tempelhof auch die NEONYT Sustainable Fashion Trade Fair für nachhaltige Mode, im Hangar 4.

Und wer zum Schluss sich auch noch gerne einmal als Hollywood Movie Star stylen lassen oder einmal einen ganz neuen Look ausprobieren will, dem sei die BEAUTY & FASHION LOUNGE im Hotel de Rome (Behrenstr. 37, 10117 Berlin) am 14. + 15. 1.2020 zwischen 10 – 17 Uhr wärmstens empfohlen.

So viel Schönheit ist ja fast schon unerträglich, aber Ihr wisst ja, in Berlin ist alles etwas anders. Da zählen nicht nur Oberfläche, sondern auch innere Werte – oder doch nicht?

Berlin Fashion Week with a new impetus in a new location.
The BERLIN FASHION WEEK, which is believed to be dead again and again, manages to reinvent itself again and again, despite all the prophecies of doom.
After a terrific start 13 years ago with a huge tent at the Brandenburg Gate, in recent years it has gone as a greatly reduced format first to the E-Werk on Wilhelmstrasse and now as a new location in the Kraftwerk Mitte at Köpenicker Str. 70.
The KRAFTWERK MITTE is certainly an impressive place, just because of its size and its 8,000 square meters of exhibition space in a 100 meter long turbine hall. We will see how the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (as the official name) will perform in this place.
The Berlin Fashion Week will take place from 13.1. -15.1.2020.
What is new is that the AUDIENCE now gets free admission to part of the event, namely to the lower level of the power station.
Here the participating designers will show their models in individual and group presentations. Food and drink will also be presented.
Only professional visitors are invited to the actual fashion shows, which are held on the upper floor of the power station.
But the shows are shown live on large screens, as well as on the Internet on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.

As you may know, not only the BERLIN SALON but now also the VOGUE SALON has ended its activities.
In order not to leave young designers completely out in the cold, there is at least a BEST GRADUATES SHOW for fashion students in the Hotel Vienna House Berlin, Landsberger Allee 106, 10369 Berlin.
There will be 3 runway shows on Monday afternoon, at 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., with works by students from 6 different fashion schools in Germany, including from the HTW Berlin and the Lette Verein Berlin.
In addition to the fashion shows, the SIDE-EVENTS and PARTIES are of course particularly interesting.
As always on the evening before (12.01.2020) the Fashion Week, the DANDY DIARY Party will take place, this time in the Metropol on Nollendorfplatz from 10 p.m. And that despite the fact that Carl Jakob Haupt, co-founder of the legendary fashion blog „Dandy Diary“ passed away last year. WOLFGANG JOOP shows its Van Laack shirt collection in the KaDeWe at Tauentzienstrasse 21 on Tuesday evening from 9.30 p.m.
And the yellow press should not be missed at the BUNTE party „New Faces“ on Monday evening from 9:00 p.m. in the Hotel Oderberger at Oderberger Str. 57 in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.
It should also be mentioned that the three major fashion fairs PREMIUM (in the Berlin station, Luckenwalder Str.), The SEEK in the arena in Berlin-Treptow and the PANORAMA in the Tempelhof airport, hangar 5 + 6, from January 14 – 16, 2020 will take place.

So much beauty is almost unbearable, but you know, everything is a little different in Berlin.
