Münchner Kultur zu Weihnachten im Lichterglanz

Festival

TOLLWOOD WINTERFESTIVAL 2017 auf der Theresienwiese vom 23.11. –  31.12.2017 (So 26.11. geschlossen)

Cirque Éloize back in town: in diesem Jahr zeigt die kanadische Compagnie ihre legendäre Show „iD“ auf dem Festival.
Zum elften Mal in Folge präsentiert Tollwood den Weltsalon, das multimedial gestaltete Zelt für aktuelle ökologische und gesellschaftliche Themen. Vor der Kulisse des weihnachtlich gestalteten „Marktes der Ideen“ mit Bio-Gastronomie und Kunsthandwerk aus aller Welt, finden zirka 70 Prozent aller Veranstaltungen bei freiem Eintritt statt. Traditionell endet das Festival mit der Silvesterparty.

Oper

Am 10. 12.2017: Die Bayerische Staatsoper zeigt vor Weihnachten ihr glänzendes Gesicht und reiht Highlight an Highlight.
Ein Konzert der Sonderklasse in der Staatsoper gibt es als vorweihnachtliche Freude für die Liebhaber der französischen Oper (und natürlich für die große Schar der Kaufmann-Fans).
„O  PARADIS“
Jonas Kaufmann singt zusammen mit Diana Damrau und Ludovic Tézier Arien aus Opern von Giacomo Meyerbeer, Hector Berlioz, Fromental Halévy, Georges Bizet, Charles Gounod und Jules Massenet. Das Bayerische Staatsorchester leitet Bertrand de Billy.

Neben den Repertoirevorstellungen mit Weltklassekünstlern steht eine Neuinszenierung auf dem Spielplan:

Am 17.12.2017 findet die Premiere von „IL  TRITTICO“ statt.. Eine Oper von Giacomo Puccini
Musikalischen Leitung: Kirill Petrenko, Regie: Lotte de Beer. Mit Wolfgang Koch als Michele
Die drei Teile von IL TRITTICO zeigen anhand von drei unterschiedlichen Epochen, Orten und Handlungssträngen  Ausschnitte der Wirklichkeit. Im Zentrum steht die Frage: Wie gehen Menschen in ihrem Leben mit dem Tod, mit Verlusten um und wie bestimmt ihr Verhalten ihre Zukunft? „Die Handlung sagt etwas  über uns Menschen aus. Die Musik  tröstet uns, obwohl wir Menschen nicht miteinander umgehen können“, so die Regisseurin Lotte de Beer.
Kirill Petrenko: „In Il trittico hat Giacomo Puccini die absolute Höhe seiner Meisterschaft erreicht. Er hat in diesem Werk alle Stile der italienischen Opernmusik – von der frühesten Vergangenheit bis zur Gegenwart – zusammengebracht. Die drei Teile gehören tatsächlich zusammen, denn so unterschiedlich sie sind, ergeben sie gemeinsam einen Lebensbogen. Das ist für einen Dirigenten eine große, aber dankbare Herausforderung. Und daher freue ich mich ungeheuer auf unsere Neuinszenierung dieses Meisterwerks.“

Zu Sylvester kommt wieder einmal die bezaubernde  witzig- spritzige Operette auf die Bühne des Nationaltheaters:

Am 31.12.2017 „DIE  FLEDER MAUS“ von Johann Strauß nach einer Inszenierung von Helmut Lehberger und  Leander Haußmann. Die musikalische Leitung hat Friedrich Haider. Star des Abends ist der Frosch, dargestellt von Gerhard Polt. Neben ihm stehen auf der Bühne u.a. Bo Skovhus , Elena Pankratova , Oliver Zwarg , Okka von der Damerau, Markus Eiche.

Und weil im kommenden Jahr ein Doppeljubiläum der Staatsoper ansteht, gibt es zum ersten Mal auch eine richtige Sylvester Party nach der Vorstellung unter dem Motto:
„GELIEBT, GEHASST UND SUPERFUNKYPARTYTIME“ – 200 Jahre Nationaltheater, 100 Jahre Bayerische Staatsoper.

Münchner Kammerspiele

Am 14.12.2017 Premiere von „TROMMELN IN DER NACHT“ von Bertolt Brecht, Regie: Christopher Rüping. Es spielen: Christian Löber, Damian Rebgetz, Hannes Hellmann, Nils Kahnwald, Wiebke Mollenhauer, Wiebke Puls
Zum Stück:
Nach jahrelanger Kriegsgefangenschaft kommt ein Mann ins aufständische Berlin zurück. Der erste Weg führt ihn zu seiner einstigen Geliebten. Dort, im Wohnzimmer ihrer Eltern, erfährt er, dass die Frau sich soeben mit einem anderen verlobt hat, einem Kriegsgewinnler, der eines Tages die Fabrik des Vaters in die Zukunft führen soll. Aus Enttäuschung und Wut wendet sich der Mann den sozialistischen Straßenkämpfen zu und wird zum wichtigen Akteur im Spartakusaufstand gegen die konservative Regierung.

Philharmonie im Gasteig

Wenn das Jahr sich dem Ende entgegen neigt, verabschiedet sich  das singende , klingende, spielende München vom Alten und begrüßt das Neue mit dem wohl berühmtesten musikalischen Hoffnungsfeuer : Beethovens Neunte!

Munich culture at Christmas in the light glow

Festival

TOLLWOOD WINTER FESTIVAL 2017 on the Theresienwiese
November 23rd to December 31st (Sun Nov 26th closed)

Cirque Éloize back in town: this year, the Canadian company is showing their legendary show „iD“ at the festival.
For the eleventh time in a row, Tollwood is presenting the World Salon, the multimedia tent for current environmental and social issues. Against the backdrop of the Christmas-designed „Market of Ideas“ with organic food and crafts from all over the world, about 70 percent of all events take place with free admission. Traditionally, the festival ends with the New Year’s Eve party.

Opera

The Bavarian State Opera shows its shiny face before Christmas and ranks highlight to highlight.

A concert of the special class in the State Opera is available as pre-Christmas joy for lovers of French opera (and of course for the large crowd of merchant fans)
On December 10th
„O PARADIS“

The three parts of IL TRITTICO show excerpts of reality from three different epochs, places and storylines. At the center is the question: How do people in their lives deal with death, losses and how does their behavior determine their future? „The plot says something about us humans. The music comforts us, although we humans can not deal with each other „, so the director Lotte de Beer.
Kirill Petrenko: „In Il tratico, Giacomo Puccini has reached the absolute height of his mastery, bringing together all the styles of Italian opera music from the earliest past to the present day, in fact the three parts really belong together because they are so different Together, they make a life’s arc, which is a great but rewarding challenge for a conductor, and so I’m looking forward to our new staging of this masterpiece. “

On New Year’s Eve, the enchanting, witty and lively operetta returns to the stage of the National Theater:

To the piece:
After years of captivity, a man returns to insurgent Berlin. The first way leads him to his former lover. There, in her parents‘ living room, he learns that the woman has just become engaged to another, a war profiteer, who will one day lead the father’s factory into the future. Out of disappointment and anger, the man turns to the socialist street fighting and becomes an important player in the Spartacan uprising against the conservative government.
