Am Freitag, den 21. Mai 2021, öffnen wieder alle Berliner Museen
In den letzten Monaten haben einige Stiftungen und Museen neue Ausstellungen organisiert, die jetzt endlich für jedermann zu sehen sein werden. Wie immer nur mit online Buchung und negativem Coronatest.
Hier meine Highlights:
Museum Barberini in Potsdam (öffnet wieder am Samstag, den 22. Mai 2021)
„Rembrandts Orient“, eine große Schau mit vielen Werken des niederländischen Meisters zusammen mit anderen Malern seiner Zeit zum Thema Orient.
„REMBRANDT. Orient“, Museum Barberini
„Impressionismus – Die Sammlung Hasso Plattner“ mit über 100 Werken impressionistischer Maler aus der Zeit zwischen Ende des 19. und Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts. Mit 34 Werken allein von Claude Monet ist es die größte private Sammlung des französischen Meisters weltweit.
„IMPRESSIONISMUS – Die Sammlung Hasso Plattner“, Museum Barberini
Helmut Newton Stiftung in Berlin
„America 1970s/80s“ in der Helmut Newton Stiftung in Berlin. Gezeigt werden neben den berühmten Akt- und Modefotos von Helmut Newton auch Arbeiten der Fotografen Sheila Metzner, Joel Meyerowitz und Evelyn Hofer, die alle um dieselbe Zeit in den 70er und 80er Jahren in den USA entstanden sind.

„Van Gogh – The Immersive Experience“. Ein Multimediaspektakel mit Videos und 3D Darstellungen der Bilder des vielleicht berühmtesten Malers aller Zeiten.
„VAN GOGH – The Immersive Experience“, Station Berlin
„BANKSY – The Mistery of a Genius Mind“. Am selben Ort wie die „Van Gogh“ Ausstellung und von denselben Machern. Eine Übersicht über die wichtigsten Werke des Streetart-Künstlers aus den letzten 3 Jahrzehnten.
„BANKSY – The Mystery of a Genius Mind“, Station Berlin
Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin
„YAYOI KUSAMA: Eine Retrospektive“. Eine sehr gute Zusammenstellung der wichtigsten Werke dieser Ausnahmekünstlerin aus Japan, die vielen erst durch die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Modehaus Louis Vuitton auch einem breiten Publikum bekannt wurde.
Vielleicht die zurzeit beste Ausstellung in Berlin!

Reopening of the Berlin museums

On Friday, May 21, 2021, all Berlin museums will open again
In the past few months some foundations and museums have organized new exhibitions that are now finally open to everyone. As always, only with online booking and a negative corona test.
Here are my favorites:
Museum Barberini in Potsdam (Attention: reopening the 22nd of May)
“Rembrandts Orient”, a large show with many works by the Dutch master together with other painters of his time on the subject of the Orient.
„REMBRANDT. Orient“, Museum Barberini
„Impressionismus – Die Sammlung Hasso Plattner“ with over 100 works by Impressionist painters from the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. With 34 works by Claude Monet, it is the largest private collection of the French master in the world.

Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin
“America 1970s / 80s” in the Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin. Reopening on Friday, May 21, 2021. In addition to the famous nude and fashion photos by Helmut Newton, works by the photographers Sheila Metzner, Joel Meyerowitz and Evelyn Hofer, all of which were made in the USA around the same time in the 1970s and 1980s, will be shown.

„YAYOI KUSAMA: A Retrospective„. A very good compilation of the most important works by this exceptional multi media artist from Japan, which many only became known through her collaboration with the Louis Vuitton fashion house.
Perhaps the best exhibition in Berlin at the moment!
